• Monday Week 2 Reminder: Monday 18th May is a Monday Week 2 and therefore school will finish at 2.15pm whilst our staff undertake training and development. School buses will depart at 2.25pm.

• School Uniform: Sports Wear International (SWI) are offering a 15% discount on online uniform orders between Monday 18th May 2026 and Tuesday 26th May 2026 with extended returns until 11th September 2026. See attached flyer.

• Attendance: Reporting a student absence – please call the attendance line (and leave a voicemail) or use the MyEd app to send a text message. Please report students absent daily before 8.30am.

Medical appointments - With the updated guidance around ‘lates’ and ‘late arrivals’ after the registers closes, we would like to offer some advice around appointments during the school day.

- Where possible please schedule appointments outside of school hours,
- If arranging a morning appointment, it is suggested that your child attends school to gain their registration mark at 8.40am (and then signs out straight after this),
- If arranging an afternoon appointment, it is suggested that your child signs out after 12.45pm so they have gained their afternoon registration mark.

• Contacting Staff at CHS: Please be aware that the Gmail addresses in school are for student/teacher communication only, and for use with Google Classroom. Should you contact the staff using these emails, you may not receive a response. • Homework Club: Please be aware that Homework Club will be closed on Wednesday 3rd June due to the GCSE exams. Homework Club will also be closed during PPE exam week on Tuesday 23rd June, Wednesday 24th June and Thursday 25th June. It will reopen as usual on Tuesday 30th June.

• STEM Club: There will be no STEM Club on Thursday 21st May 2026. It will return as normal after half term.

• Year 7 Video Parents’ Evening: A-side on Thursday 11th June and B-side on Thursday 18th June. Bookings are well under way for both evenings. If you have not yet booked, please do not miss out. The invite letters were sent in a separate email from Carol Maudsley on Wednesday 14th May - please check your junk/spam mail. If you did not receive the login codes, then please contact Mrs Maudsley.

• Year 11 Parents – Exam Results App: A new service, launched by the DfE, allows students to be able to access their education record via their mobile phone. This service will not replace Exam Results Day, but will allow students to receive their results on the app at a set time after they have received their paper copy in school. More information about the significance of this, how it will operate, and how to download the app is detailed in a letter sent to Year 11 parents via email. - Year 8 & 9 girls’ rugby tournament at Sir Thomas Boteler from 3.45-4.45pm. Return to school by approximately 5.30pm.

Wednesday 20th May
- Year 10 Interform football tournament from 3.15-4.30pm. 3G suitable footwear required.

Thursday 21st May
- Year 7 rugby tournament at Sir Thomas Boteler from 3.45-4.45pm. Return to school by approximately 5.30pm.

• End of Term: Friday 22rd May is the last day of the half-term; we look forward to seeing all students back in school on Monday 1st June.
