#ThisWeek

• Bank Holiday: School is closed on Monday 4th May for Spring Bank Holiday. We welcome all students back in school on Tuesday 5th May.

• Attendance: Reporting a student absence – please call the attendance line (and leave a voicemail) or use the MyEd app to send a text message. Please report students absent daily before 8.30am.

• Lates - Registers must close no longer than 30 minutes after opening. If a student is absent for registration but arrives later in the session after the register has closed, the attendance register must be amended to record them as absent using code U or another absence code that is more appropriate. *Please note CHS AM registers open at 8.40am and close at 9am*.

• Year 8 Video Parents’ Evening: A-side is to be held on Thursday 30th April and there are some appointments still available. B-side is on Thursday 7th May and there are some appointments still available. Please contact Mrs Maudsley if you require assistance.

• Year 11 ParentPay: Notice to parents to please think about your Year 11 child’s lunch money balances. If they have a large balance to date, try not to add any further funds, so that the balance can be spent before they leave. If when they leave, there is a balance remaining on the ParentPay account you will need to request a refund before the students are taken off roll at the end of the academic year. If you do not request the balance, you are at risk of losing it. You can contact Mrs Maudsley.

• Year 11 Locker Keys: During the exam season, students must store all their belongings in their lockers. Please ensure your child has their key. Replacement locker keys can be purchased via ParentPay for £5. All locker keys should be handed in at the end of their final exam. Mrs Maudsley will commence the task of emptying lockers and discarding contents w/c 13th July so students must ensure they clear out their lockers. The refund process will not start until September/October time. More details to follow, including an email home.

• Year 11 GCSEs: Updated GCSE timetables displaying rooms and seat numbers were given out to students in registration on Thursday and have also been emailed to Priority 1 contacts. Please check your junk email if you have not received it. Please ensure your child checks that all subjects are displayed on their timetable and any subject with a tier of entry is correct. If you have any queries please contact Mrs Bennett by email vb@culchethhigh.org.uk

• Year 11 Revision: This is running again after school this week. Please refer to the After-School Revision Timetable on the Year 11 Notices Page to see what session is on after school each evening. Please speak to your child and ensure that they are attending the relevant sessions for the subjects that they’ve chosen to take at GCSE. Thank you in advance for your support in ensuring that students are attending these sessions with the GCSEs fast approaching.
