GCSE Drama Visit to Shakespeare North Playhouse

On 12th March 2026, 27 GCSE Drama students from Years 10 and 11 enjoyed an exciting theatre trip to the Shakespeare North Playhouse to watch a production of Two by Jim Cartwright.

The visit gave students a valuable opportunity to experience live theatre and see professional performance techniques in action. Watching the play live will support their understanding of staging, characterisation and design, which they analyse in their written GCSE exam.

For our Year 11 students in particular, this was especially helpful preparation as they approach their Drama written examination on 8th May. The evening was both inspiring and enjoyable, and students represented the school brilliantly!
