Our School and Admissions Information

As a high performing school, we offer a rich, broad and engaging education for all our young people.

We are proud of our record in examination success, the quality of which has been recognised at national level. Not only do our students attain much higher success ratios than students nationally, they also make excellent progress from their starting points. The school’s aim is to get the very best from each student; not only through superb teaching and learning but also by encouraging involvement in extra-curricular and community activities.

In catering for the needs of all students, we genuinely believe that there are many aspects of our curriculum that are outstanding.  Our successes are highly appreciated by parents as we are regularly over-subscribed in every year group and particularly in Year 7.  Alongside this, it is important to us that your child feels happy and safe here. We want everyone to enjoy their time in school and, through our supportive pastoral system
students will be nurtured and encouraged.

We want all students to succeed academically and also to achieve great things in all areas of school. We will ensure that all have the opportunity to do so.

Our mission as a school is simply:

"To Be the Best That We Can Be."

Our school values of respect, honesty and excellence underpin our core purpose which is to ensure that students emerge as confident, articulate citizens ready for life beyond school – as skilled adults who can develop successful careers and contribute positively to society.

We are rated by OFSTED as a ‘Good’ school in all areas. Despite this achievement and the fact that Culcheth High School has awards from the DfE, Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (‘high achieving status’), Artsmark, Healthy and Eco School awards as testimony to our success, we are not complacent. We are ambitious in our approach to ensure that the school community genuinely lives its mission ‘to be the best that we can be!’ We embrace parental involvement on all levels and look forward to welcoming you and your child. You will find Culcheth High School a very happy and vibrant place.
