  • Last Day Arrangements: School will close at 1.15pm on Friday 19th December and school buses have been arranged for this time. A letter including full details of the day was emailed to parents on 12th December and also published on the school website.

 

  • Attendance: Reporting a student absence – please call the attendance line (and leave a voicemail) or use the MyEd app to send a text message. Please report students absent daily before 8.30am.#

- Lates - Registers must close no longer than 30 minutes after opening. If a student is absent for registration but arrives later in the session after the register has closed, the attendance register must be amended to record them as absent using code U or another absence code that is more appropriate. *Please note CHS AM registers open at 8.40am and close at 9am*.

 

  • Charity Bake Sale: Year 7 students are running a whole-school bake sale on Wednesday 17th December, so please remind students to bring some small change to school if they would like to buy a cake, and raise money for the Mental Health Charity – Mind.

 

  • Homework Club: This be closed next week but will reopen as usual when we return to school with the first session on Tuesday 6th January. Thank you for your support with this.

 

  • Year 10 Parents’ Evenings A-side 22nd January, B-side 29th January: Reminder to get your appointments booked in for the Y10 Parents’ Evenings in January 2026.  All invites have gone out; if you have any problems please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Maudsley. 

 

  • PE Notices:

   Tuesday 16th December

    - Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 girls football training. 3G pitch 3.15-4.15pm

    - All years Badminton Club. 3.15-4.15pm

   Wednesday 17th December

   - Year 7 football fixtures at Cardinal Newman High School. Kick-off at 4.15pm, returning to school at approximately 5.30pm.

   - Year 9 football fixtures at Lymm High School. Kick-off at 4pm, returning to school at approximately 5.45pm.

   - Year 7, 8 & 9 girls and GCSE PE Gymnastics Club.

 

  • Final Message: We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and look forward to seeing all students back in school on Monday 5th January 2026.
