#ThisWeek

• Year 11 PPEs: There are now three school weeks to go until the first PPE exam window. Students are advised to now be working hard on a revision programme to ensure they are as prepared as possible.

• Year 11 Parents’ Evening: A-side takes place on Thursday 6th November, B-side on 13th November. Invite emails for both evenings were sent on 8th October at 14.44; please check your junk/spam folders if you have not received one. This is for the full Parents’ Evening where you speak to your child’s subject teachers. Appointments are still available. Please contact Mrs Maudsley with any queries.

• Year 11 Food Preparation and Nutrition: Reminder for all students doing this course, that the NEA1 deadline is Wednesday 23rd October 2025. This task is worth 15% of your GCSE grade. Students will have additional time to complete any outstanding work this week during the following sessions:

- Wednesday after school
- Thursday lunchtime

• Year 11 Hospitality and Catering: Students doing this course will begin their NEA Unit 2 (worth 60% of the GCSE) during the week commencing 3rd November. The theme is “Street Food Takeaway” for either a Surfer Teen or a Walking Party Adult. Over the half term break, students should decide on their two dishes, so they are ready to start their NEA as soon as we return.

• Paris Visit: The next payment instalment of £275 for the Paris visit is due to be received in school by Thursday 23rd October. We also require a picture of your child’s passport by this date. This can be sent by email to Mrs Maudsley (CMD@culchethhigh.org.uk). If your child does not have a passport, please send an email to Mrs Maudsley giving your child’s name as it will appear on the passport.

• Year 10 Duke of Edinburgh: Those students who took tents home to dry, could they please be returned to Mr Nolan or Mr Hiller as soon as possible for the next group of students to use.
