Open Evening: Doors open at 5.30pm on Thursday 2nd October. There will be two opportunities to listen to the Headteacher, Mr Hunt at 6.00pm and 6.30pm. The evening will finish at 8.00pm.

Student Helpers at Open Evening: Students will be needed in school from 5.00pm until 8.00pm in full school uniform. The students should enter school through the side gate between 5.00pm and 5.15pm and report to their relevant P.L./Head of Department/teacher. Students should not be in school prior to 5.00pm and the side gate will be locked at 5.15pm.  We advise students to bring a re-fillable water bottle, to ensure they remain hydrated on the evening.  Please arrange transport home for your son/daughter from 8.00pm from the main school reception or from the drop off/collection point of the main car park.

All Year Groups: Students will be issued with their academic target grades w/c 29th September. Years 7-10 will get them on Monday, and Year 11 will get theirs on Tuesday. For more information about our target setting and assessment …… please click here and here for more information.

STEM Club: There will be no STEM Club on Thursday 2nd October, due to Open Evening. Many thanks.

A Reminder on School Procedures

We've noticed a recent increase in forgotten items being dropped off at reception, which disrupts lessons. We kindly ask for your    support in helping students remember all their equipment. Here are a few key points to keep in mind:

  • Forgotten Equipment: If an item is absolutely necessary, we will do our best to get it to your child. However, please understand that we do not want to continually interrupt lessons to deliver forgotten items. Students have lockers for items they don't want to carry, like Food Technology ingredients.
  • PE Kits: Forgotten PE kits will not be delivered to classrooms. Students can borrow a freshly laundered kit from the PE department, but we encourage them to take responsibility and remember their own.
  • Student Phone Calls: With our new phone-free policy, we have seen an increase in students asking to use the Student Services phone to call home for forgotten items. Please note that students will not be permitted to do this. We will only call home for urgent matters, such as medication. This is an important part of teaching students to be responsible and prepared.
  • Dinner Money: Please remember to top up your child's dinner money account the night before, not the morning of. The ParentPay and kitchen systems do not sync immediately, so you risk a delay that may prevent your child from getting lunch. Student Services cannot be ringing phone home for every student asking for money to be put on uploaded.

Your cooperation helps us maintain a focused and productive learning environment for all students.

Year 10: Save the date! Thursday 27th November there will be an information evening hosted in school to help support and guide you as parents with transition to Key Stage 4 and GCSE and Vocational qualifications. The event will start with registration from 4.15pm.

Year 10 Duke of Edinburgh: Please can you pay on ParentPay as soon as possible, and complete the Code of Conduct and medical forms, sent previously via email, in order for us to ensure we have all our paperwork done well in advance of the expedition.

Year 11: Following the GCSE Year 11 Information Evening last week, please see the link here to the slides and resources shared on the evening. If you attended and are able to take 5 mins to give us some feedback, please click here.

INSET Day: Reminder that Friday 3rd October is an INSET day and school will be closed for students on this day.
