Following media coverage of the growing refugee crisis, Year 7 students decided to take action. They were set the task of bringing in an old jumper that no longer fit them or an old book that they thought a younger child would enjoy reading. In just three days, they brought in over 200 books and jumpers! These were taken to a collection depot in Appleton Thorn to be sorted out. Some of the items will be taken to Turkey this month, and some to Serbia in November.

We are very proud of the community spirit that Year 7 students (including Patrick Sheridan, Nada Abu Ta’a, Zach Dahou and Rebecca Toolan) have shown, and we are fully expecting them to rise to the next challenge, contributing to the school’s annual Shoebox Appeal.
