On Thursday 11th February, Year 10 GCSE Catering students were treated to a chocolate-making workshop with Andrew Dale, chocolatier/patissier from Reaseheath College.

Andrew began the workshop by talking about his career in the food industry as a chocolatier at the Savoy Hotel and later working with William Curley at his flagship chocolate boutique in London’s Belgravia. He discussed career opportunities in the food industry as well as food courses available at Reaseheath College.

The workshop included a hands-on practical session, where students helped to make several types of chocolates as well as learning about the chocolate-making process.

It was a fun and informative afternoon and we look forward to further demonstrations from Andrew throughout the GCSE course.
