On Tuesday 4th July, representatives from the CHS Youth Health Champions took to the stage at the Warrington Children
and Young People’s Emotional Health and Wellbeing (EH&WB) Event to share their experiences of the positive mental health
and well-being work they have been engaging with this year with Halton Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). Warrington
and Halton CCGs are currently engaging on the new draft model for children and young people’s EH&WB, aiming to
replace the current tiered system for accessing support with a new, more inclusive, THRIVE model.
The students spoke with impressive confidence to give staff, health professionals, Third Sector organisations, children and
young people and families and carers in our community an insight into how they have been signposting their peers to the
support available to them and helping remove the stigma attached to mental health. Very well done to all involved!
