As part of the Arts and Technology Faculty workshops in Music, Dance, Food and Art we have shown an array of talent.
In Food, we created dishes to celebrate the harmony and different tastes around the world. Music explored how to combine dance beats and the samba drums of Brazil. Students learnt their piece from scratch and performed with Mr Simms. In Dance, the students choreographed an amazing dance piece, which they performed at our ‘Cultural Finale’. During the Art workshops, we looked at creating harmony through art, looking at the work of Ryan McGinness and Bob and Roberta Smith.
We all believe that harmony is about peace and embracing differences, working together to recognise amazing, little things you may have never noticed before to ensure the future is a happy place.
In our parade, we spelt out DIVERSITY and HARMONY and celebrated the importance of keeping art in the school curriculum.
