Friday 15th January was the end to a very long and nervous wait for our Year 11s as they awaited their GCSE Pre-Public Exam results.  Each student collected their results from their form tutor one at a time and had the opportunity to talk through the results and their future plans.  For many students, this was a real eye opener as to what their actual GCSE results day will be like.

It was pleasing to see many smiling faces and although some students were not too happy with their results, the experience has allowed some reflection and an opportunity to make improvements in preparation for their actual GCSE examinations in the summer.

Mrs Morris, our Careers Advisor, and Mrs Quicler who is responsible for Careers in school, were also on hand for students to seek advice from or to complete applications to Sixth Forms and Colleges if they had not already done so.  It was a fantastic morning and I look forward to seeing more happy faces on 25th August 2016.

We have decided to complete another pre-public exam week with Year 11 students and, although more information will follow, they will take place the week beginning 28th March 2016
