Our team of five students won the “Understanding the Consumer” category for their project to promote hand-washing to developing country children at Unilever’s competition on 23rd March 2017. The team members were amazing. Judging involved six teams of Unilever employees watching their 10-minute presentation, followed by a question and answer session. No teachers were allowed with the students until the last time they gave the presentation, in case the judges wanted to ask any supplementary questions. They were complimented on their amazing artwork and it was suggested we frame the poster and display it in school. Our students were also the only students that had put forward three excellent ideas and clearly impressed the judges with their research in understanding the parents of developing country children and the children themselves.

We were so proud of them to be in the top six schools of 64. They worked very hard and deserved to win their limited edition
monkeys and the glass star award which is on display at school. Well done to Lucy Bilsborrow, Ruby Young, Megan Pomphret, Ella Driver and Caitlin Armstrong. Special thanks should also go to Reece and Phillippa Makinson for their help at school and for being on hand to step in should any of the main team members have been ill on the day .
