Friday 8th July 2016 saw the first annual Memorial Day for former Culcheth High School student, Patric Wilson, who sadly died earlier this year.

For this first activity, students were split into ten groups of 22/23 students with the idea being that each group should become a company organising a given fundraising activity for the Memorial Day which they then pitch to run on the day. The students needed to create a company name, produce a business plan, design an interesting and fun activity and present their findings in a 15-minute presentation. These were then judged by three of our school governors, with three teams receiving the opportunity to carry out their activity at the Memorial Day event. Many thanks to our governors, Mr Patel, Mr Freaney and Mrs Titchard for
generously donating their time and expertise.
