On Friday 22nd April, a group of six Year 9 STEM students headed to Lymm High School for a day of robotics. The day was
organised to help the school prepare for this year’s VEX robotics competition, a worldwide event where groups are provided with a robot kit and a problem to solve.

Each group then competes at local, national and international events to prove their solution is the best. The students performed well and took on board all the advice provided, completing the construction of the basic robot before the other groups. A great experience for those involved to get some hands-on experience with robotics and engineering.

We are currently waiting for the 2016-2017 competition details and local competition dates. Watch this space. A big thank you to Mr McAteer, Lymm High School for hosting the day and providing us with their knowledge and experience in the competition.
