At Culcheth High School, we are blessed with a plethora of talent and the performance skills of our students is no
exception.

I was privileged to be in the audience of the RNCM Youth Performance of Singing in the Rain to see three of our Musical
Theatre Group, Maisie Marsden, Amelia Williams and Kitty Wilson, tread the boards as part of the ensemble cast. Their
training and experience in the CHS productions has clearly paid off as they were confident and appeared to be very
accomplished in their supporting roles. The highlight of the evening was seeing ex-student, Lucca Chadwick-Patel, who
had graced our stage as lead characters in Wicked, Mamma Mia!, and We Will Rock You, take on the principle role of Don
Lockwood who was originally played by Gene Kelly.

Not only did Lucca display an outstanding level of ability in all three performance disciplines, he commanded the stage
with all the grace and charm of a professional while leading the principle cast and ensemble.

As ever, it Is a pleasure to be able to sit in the audience and look at how far our students and ex-students have come;
particularly when seeing them flourish and enjoying their successes in performing arts.
