Culcheth High School will be supporting the charity ‘Samaritan’s Purse’ again this year, by donating Christmas shoeboxes filled with gifts for children. These boxes are sent to many different parts of the world to children who find themselves living in very difficult circumstances – victims of war, famine, disease and natural disaster. Many thanks to all of you who have donated boxes before; your generosity is much appreciated.
Our area organiser contacts us each year to tell us where our shoes boxes go and to assure us that they reach their destination. Last year, we collected 197 and all of them went to Romania.
Please try to help with the appeal this year by putting together a shoebox and please pass on the word to as many people as you can, to encourage them to get involved. Information leaflets, which contain instructions, labels and an envelope, have been given to our students; please use these and if you need any more, do not hesitate to contact Mrs Whittle at the school. If you would like to learn more about the charity ‘Samaritan’s Purse’ you can go on to their website www.samaritans-purse.org.uk and follow the link to Operation Christmas Child.
All completed boxes need to be brought to Student Services by Monday 9th November 2015 at the latest, to give us time to get them to the children by Christmas. Many thanks in advance for your help.
