Year 8 student Sam Chappell recently travelled to RAF Cranwell to take part in their Easter Camp. Sam was chosen to represent the 70 (Croft & Culcheth Squadron) at the week-long event.

The camp training programme was very interesting with activities including a trip to the Imperial War Aviation Museum at Duxford, football, team building exercises, leadership games and a personal fitness test.

Sam and his fellow cadets underwent daily room inspections and block checks. The cadets were expected to keep a clean and tidy room and maintain a high standard of uniform and appearance at all times.
Sam also had the privilege of a flight in a passenger aircraft called the King Air. Despite feeling a little worse for wear, Sam still came back with a smile on his face!

At the end of the camp he was presented with the award for Best Cadet. It was noted how well Sam took advice from leadership and improved throughout camp. Well done Sam!
