National Careers Week commenced on Monday 7th March and saw Culcheth High School host a wide range of careers-based activities for our students, all to help them with their future decisions.
Year 7 and 8 each competed in a form time quiz with 7H and 8M coming out as winners. Priestley College also helped us by sending a representative in to speak with some of our higher attaining Years 8 and 9 students about higher and further education opportunities available to them, as well as discussing life as a student. Future First linked with us to send alumni students in to talk about their career so far in assemblies to Years 8 and 9 also. This enabled students to listen to former Culcheth High students talk about their life and career since leaving school; very inspiring for them.
Year 10 visited the National Careers Fair held at Event City in Manchester. The event saw a range of colleges and employers attend, providing students the chance to ask questions and discover as much as they could about the opportunities each establishment has to offer to them. This will all help our students to make informed choices for their futures once they leave Culcheth High School after their GCSE studies.
