Please meet the Pastoral Student Support Team who work alongside the Progress Leaders and students with a particular focus on attendance, behaviour, uniform and study skills:

Mrs Bradley – Pastoral Student Support Officer, Key Stage 3
I started work at Culcheth High School in January 2013 as an Attendance Mentor. I am proud that our students and staff in school have worked hard together since then to increase our attendance from 94.3% to 96%. I am confident that our new Pastoral Care structure will help our attendance increase again this year. Prior to working at Culcheth High School, I was a teacher of French and Progress Leader for Year 7 and before that, a Retail Manager.

Miss Bamber – Pastoral Student Support Officer, Key Stage 4
My name is Suzy Bamber and this is my first term here at Culcheth High School. I previously worked at Westleigh High School and have over 10 years’ experience of working in education. I look forward to getting to know all of the students at Culcheth High and supporting them on their journey to success.

Miss Creighton – Achievement Mentor, Key Stage 4
I joined Culcheth High School in February 2015. The purpose of an Achievement Mentor is to support students in the most challenging stages of their education, working in a variety of personalised ways to suit their individual needs. This may include sessions on organisational skills, developing growth mindsets and happy habits, dealing with stress and anxiety; all of which aim to help young people manage the demands of today’s formal examinations and achieve their full potential. I am truly excited to be a part of the Pastoral Student Support Team and can’t wait to watch the new Key Stage 4 Study Area flourish. Together, we can help give all of our students every opportunity to be successful, skilled and articulate citizens.
