Mr Piggott, ICT Strategy Manager, and Miss Lomax, RE and Lead Research Teacher, recently had the opportunity to visit and present at Google UK Headquarters in King Cross Square London.

This was a ‘Google for Education’ day for us to show our excellent use of Google Apps for Education and how it has supported and enhanced the Teaching and Learning experience for our students and staff.

We were invited to deliver a 30-minute presentation to almost 100 people, on how Google Education tools have impacted Culcheth High School over the last few years, and how to get started with this product.

It was an honour and privilege to present at such an amazing building and work with a prestigious company such as Google! Only three schools presented, one of which was Culcheth High School. The presentation was very well received and we had many questions from the schools and requests for our presentation slides.

In the afternoon session, Mr Piggott and Miss Lomax delivered a workshop on how to successfully use Google Forms and Miss Lomax presented her challenging RE Quiz so people can try the end product, then we talked through how to create a simple quiz.

The day was a great success for promoting Culcheth High School on a global stage and to explain how each and every day our
students and staff benefit from the excellent tools Google offers.

Once the day was complete we received a brief tour of the top of the building and spent time in the café and roof terrace, showing breath-taking views across London.
