GCSE Summer External Exams 2021

26th May to 2nd July inclusive

GCSE examinations will be taking place between Wednesday 26th May and Friday 2nd July 2021. This does not include dates for language speaking tests, practical examinations, Non-examination Assessments.  Students must speak to their subject teachers for these dates.

Please also be informed that the Department for Education has announced if a student misses all GCSE assessments in a subject due to sickness related to coronavirus (COVID-19), or the need to self-isolate and is unable to access the special consideration process, they will be eligible to sit a single contingency paper.  These contingency exams will run up to and including Friday 16th july 2021.

Individual exam timetables will be given to students week commencing 1st February 2021 for Summer GCSE examinations. Morning examinations start at 9.00am and can be up to three hours long. The school aims to start all afternoon examinations at 1.15pm, however students need to be identified before the start of examinations so this may not be possible. Therefore for all examinations lasting two hours or longer in the afternoon students need to make alternative arrangements to get home if they catch the school bus.

Pre-public examinations 2020 - 2021

Pre-public examinations will be taking place on the following dates:

Year 11 – Monday 8th February to Friday 12th February.
