STEM Club students combined their recycling project (in conjunction with United Utilities) and designed a way of harvesting the excess water collected on the roof to irrigate the allotment.
They worked with Engineers from United Utilities to understand how to conserve water and utilise harvested water in a more effective way in school.
This work was then submitted and assessed under the Crest criteria and students achieved the Bronze Crest Award.
The Crest Awards are still running and students have the opportunity to work upon a project which will count towards achieving this award.
