Key Stage 3 is a challenging yet extremely enjoyable phase our students’ school career.  We have designed the curriculum in years 7, 8 and 9 to ensure that students are prepared, academically and socially during this time to enable them to achieve their potential in their GCSE years and beyond.

We aim to provide lessons across a range of subjects that will prepare students by providing them with the knowledge, understanding and love of learning which are needed for the future.

Key Stage 3 Curriculum statutory curriculum requirements for all:

  • English
  • Maths
  • Science
  • History
  • Geography
  • Modern Foreign Languages
  • Design and Technology
  • Art and Design
  • Music
  • Physical Education
  • Citizenship
  • Computing

Schools must provide religious education (RE) and Sex Education from Key Stage 3 but parents can ask for their children to be taken out of the whole lesson or part of it.
